Theatre Battery Presents
Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead
By Bert V. Royal, Directed by Logan Ellis
Theatre Battery’s first show at the Kent Station shopping center took place in a warehouse with no installed electricity, no internal bathroom, unfinished walls, cement floors, and a shared wall with a wine bar next door. We couldn’t have been more excited about though, because the idea of having a space in downtown Kent for us to show a play like this was mind-blowing at the time. We were still a mixture of college and high school students, feeling super passionate to tell this story about homophobia and growing up. The space is now a Wing Stop serving fried chicken.
